We collaborate with other leading innovators across Germany, Europe and globally to drive the development of transformative energy solutions. Our projects are the result of connecting like-minded partners with the goal to unlock unused potential, advance technologies, and create market momentum. Below are some of our key initiatives
In collaboration with a renowned Technical University, we are joining efforts to optimize photovoltaic (PV) parks through the development of advanced hardware and software solutions. This project focuses on transferring results from battery research into solar parks and enhancing the Human Data Interface for decision-makers. Additionally, we are identifying upgrade pathways to improve the economic performance and longevity of legacy solar parks while testing new approaches to storage and inverter technologies. Our work also seeks to refine long-term decision-making processes in solar park management, moving beyond short-term AI-driven strategies.
We develop and manage the involvement of small and medium-sized renewable energy enterprises in a high-impact project led by a Fraunhofer Institute. Our job is bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial application. This allows smaller enterprises to contribute to and profit from significant research. The collaborations helps leverage Fraunhofer's vast research network and resources, empowering them to scale their innovation and enter new markets. Our role includes coordinating technical exchanges, fostering partnerships between industry and academia ensuring the successful application within the companies.
Through a joint venture, we are positioning a pioneering grid-scale storage company to become a key player in the global market. Our leadership in this project includes attracting investors globally as well as initiating and managing research and development activities. By blending cutting-edge hardware and software from both industry and science the joint venture will be able to deliver storage solutions that are highly scalable, efficient, and profitable.
We are exploring cross-border collaboration between German and Australian DSOs to facilitate innovative solutions for a 100% renewable electricity grid. Our work involves identifying and evaluating novel approaches to frequency services, especially in scenarios where renewable energy plays a dominant role. We coordinate the exchange between research institutions, academia, and future service providers, such as factories and solar parks, to ensure the grid’s flexibility and resilience. We are in ongoing discussions with research groups at universities to explore diverse technological avenues, while also assessing the potential of establishing factory manufacturing lines as viable contributors to grid stability and frequency services.
